Proposal for the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation donor sculpture. Donor names are at eye level and continue above on the rising rings surrounding the symbolic counterweight. The work rises above the immediate viewer as a tower of progress that balances a very Oklahoma but universal historical symbol of recent settlement against a window of advanced research that has grown from a brief Oklahoma history. The outdoor work is designed as an inviting place to sit (the bottom ring). The scale and complex shape is designed to compliment the Gold Leed Certified research facility. The aesthetic combines assembly components that compliments and contrasts the larger elegance of composition.
